Pure is Proud to host Grateful Heart Reiki for Private Full Reiki Sessions. They are 60 minutes long, including time to debrief after your session. When your appointment begins, I will thoroughly explain my Reiki process so you will always know what to expect. While you may have experienced Reiki before, every practitioner is different. We will also discuss any issues you feel may need focus, whether those are physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. My Reiki sessions incorporate multiple healing modalities, in order to serve your greatest and highest good.
Hi My name is Sherri and I spent the majority of my adult life suffering from autoimmune illnesses and mental health disorders, such as anxiety, panic and depression. Of course, these things are treatable (to varying degrees) with medication and I’ve probably been on most of them. I spent years putting my health into the hands of doctors and specialists and still never felt relief. It took a long time to look deeper into my illnesses and from where they originated.
After seventeen years (yes, you read that correctly) receiving immunosuppressant infusions at my local hospital, I began to realize I spent a lot of time dealing with side effects. From debilitating anxiety and panic disorder, to nausea, weight gain and headaches, to chronic sinus issues and joint pain, I felt sick ALL of the time—and not even from the actual illnesses for which I was being treated. I reached a point where only feeling well 40% of the time wasn’t enough. I began to explore options to pair with my medical treatments to experience relief. Some of them worked; some did not. Healing can look different to each of us. My healing journey began with yoga and meditation. Becoming present and mindful, doing things with intention—that is where changes began and I noticed relief almost immediately from anxiety. Mindful meditation, specifically, allowed me to begin viewing life and my struggles through a different lens.
While yoga and meditation helped eased some of my mental health issues, I still needed support for how my illnesses affected me physically. As I explored homeopathic options for treating my lengthy list of illnesses, Reiki kept creeping into my life. Like many others in the Energy Work field, I will say, “Reiki found me; I didn’t find it.” And so, I did something I haven’t done before: I trusted. I trusted my intuition. Then I trusted the Universe. And then I trusted my Angels. And then I trusted my guides. The more I learned about Reiki and Energy healing, and the more I implemented it into my life, the better I began to feel. I felt guided to begin moving through my Reiki certifications for both Level I and II and finally, Level III Master. I realized quickly that giving Reiki to others as they walk their own healing journeys, also allows me to heal within myself.
